Liane Hawthorne

Liane has worked with Type since qualifying in MBTI® in 2003, applying Type extensively throughout her career with OPP Limited and subsequently The Myers-Briggs Company until the end of 2025. 

An eternal optimist with a pragmatic approach, she combines collaborative problem-solving with commercial realism. Her passion lies in harnessing the positive power of Type to help individuals realise their potential, strengthen communication, and support constructive conflict resolution in organisations and beyond.

With more than 25 years of commercial experience, Liane specialises in performance optimisation, organisational transformation, and leadership development. Drawing on over 20 years of coaching experience and 15 years in leadership roles, she combines practical business insight with psychometric expertise to enable sustainable behavioural change and measurable organisational outcomes.

As a British-Canadian, based in the UK, Liane has worked across both English and French speaking environments. Her work focuses on helping organisations build purpose, align teams, close capability gaps, and create the conditions for long-term success.

As Director of Partnerships at BAPT, Liane is committed to supporting members,  strengthening the Type community, and building awareness of psychological Type through partnerships and outreach. She is passionate about ensuring that BAPT continues to thrive and serve future generations of practitioners and enthusiasts.
