Other ways to Help

Businesspeople at officeAs a small charity staffed entirely by volunteers, BAPT relies heavily on help from individuals and businesses who share our zest for the captivating world of psychological type. There are a number of ways that you can help keep BAPT going:

Join our Board of Trustees

Board members at BAPT are voted on at each AGM, and serve 2 years per term (with a maximum of 3 terms). We have 6 roles available on our Board of Trustees, and BAPT will cover the expenses of being present at meetings, conferences and the AGM for all board members. If you feel that you have the dedication, skills and enthusiasm to join our board and lead the way in promotion of Jungian psychological type systems, then get in touch through our contact form or by emailing president@bapt.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you!

If you have a business related to Type in any way, we’re happy to invite you to advertise in our quarterly journal, TypeFace. If you book your advertising for four consecutive issues in advance, we’ll even give you a discount of 10% off the cost.

Come along to our Conference

Our conference is BAPT’s central event each year. Normally taking place in March, the conference offers a chance for anyone interested in the research, theory and practical applications of Type to meet and connect with others who share this interest. BAPT and other APT members all receive a discount on the attendance fee. Each year, we seek out speakers from around the world with a Call for Papers in the autumn – anyone who would like to be a featured speaker at the conference may respond to this, and chosen speakers also receive a further reduction in attendance fee. Keep an eye on our Events page for the latest information on BAPT conferences.

We love our sponsors! They allow us to hold such exceptional events as 2014’s 25th Anniversary conference, and we offer multiple levels of sponsorship – all of which offer various options for advertising. You could have your business advertised on the brochure, on leaflets inside the complimentary conference bags, or even have tables available from which to sell your books or products. If you’d like to consider sponsoring the next BAPT conference, please email our Treasurer: payments@bapt.org.uk for more information.

Lead a Webinar/Workshop

We’d love to have events running throughout the entire year, but we need people to host lead them. If you’d like to help us by taking the lead in running some of ouroffering a webinars and or workshops, and have your expertise on show through a national charity, please get in touch either through our Contact form us, or email our Director of Events at events@bapt.org.uk and let us know.

The majority of our small turnover goes to board expenses and on TypeFace magazine. This is mainly covered by our annual membership fees, but we are truly grateful for any donations given, whether from members or non-members. You can donate to BAPT in a few ways:

  • Through Bank Transfer or Standing Order (sort code 60-14-22, account no 55852297). You can set these up online if you have internet banking, or you can download a Standing Order instruction right here to give to your bank.
  • If you have a Charities Aid Foundation account, you can find us by registered charity number 1045 772.
  • Using PayPal by clicking the button below. It is easy to donate without a PayPal account in just 3 steps, see Easy Donations by PayPal if you are unsure.
  • If you want to add GiftAid to your donation, worth 25p on top of every Pound you give, please download and print this GiftAid form and send it to the address on the form.

All donations go into general funds unless specified otherwise, and you can see a summary of the BAPT 2015 finances right here if you’re interested. Please accept our sincerest thanks in advance for your generosity.
